Bugsy
*grins* well this is my second lot, last time i hatched 3 when I was about 12 unfortunatly they were all males so we sold them to the local garden centre (saw them in thier new homes a few weeks ago actually!) but this lot were completly unexpected, at one point i had over 20 chickens roaming the garden and my mum decided it was too much so a friend took them all but three (kevin, Tippy and Babs) then last year one of next door's males got in and after shoving him through the fence numerous amounts of times he kept coming back, so after a quick chat we decided he could stay (seeing as he was most handsome and the girls seemed to be very fond of him) and it wasn't long before tippy was sitting (right in the middle of winter to my dismay) but she was such a good mum and all the chicks survived, in fact they had thier first day outside the stable yesterday

Popcorn
Hi Bugsy - nice to meet you. Great to hear a good successful chick hatching story too! I've not been that adventurous yet. We've had our two since May 05 and are just really feeling our feet with them and getting to really know the ins and outs of their needs and wants and their individual personalities - they're both very different. I absoloutly love them to bits, they are the best pets I've ever had. Hope to be hatching our own eventually too
