Janty
My poor cochins! My husband's hybrids are into everything. They escape next door under the hedge, they raid the polytunnel and fruit cage and generally cause no end of mischief. Poor Scary Spice, the splash cochin just ambles round the garden, happy in her own little world. She couldn't figure out how to get back into the cube tonight (even though it's been home for five weeks) and walked round and round the outside several times. My husband says that if her brains were dynamite, she wouldn't have enough to blow her nose. The other cochin, Lauren is more with it but not by much. Does anybody else have tales of cochins? Are they all potty or do some have a bit more nouse? It has to be said, loopy or not, they still rule the roost. Richard
I don't have any cochins, but I have heard that they aren't the brightest bulbs in the box. My Orps are pretty thick too - but the buff sussex are worse!
Karen & co.
Boots my cochin just ambles around the garden in a world of her own even when the others compete in the chook land speed record for treats, it takes her a good 5 minutes to work out what's going on She's very sweet though karen x
chelsea
my 2 cochins are the bottom of the pecking order. Even though they are our youngest chickens - they are the biggest! Always last to the treats and food. They like to perch a lot - up high.
