One of my chickens swallows grapes whole (and half your hand if you're not careful! ) Is this ok? Should I be chopping them up?

one of ours (Rita) does exactly the same. all 3 chooks absolutely love grapes, but Rita has the speed-eating down to a fine art. you can almost see them going down her gullet, like a python swallowing a goat...

i cut them up into very small pieces with scissors and then mix them up with soaked granary bread and mushed up banana in a sort of porridge, they love it BUT only black grapes- they don't like green grapes, strange!?

 

I cut them up small as I worry about crop binding.

Mine are the opposite, LOVE green grapes but turn their beaks up at red or black ones
