My M&S rant.........

Recommended Posts

It annoys me too guys. I'm one who leaves the trolley somewhere out of the way and dashes along aisles to get what is needed. I don't have time to saunter around, so those who stand blocking the aisles do irk me a bit, but I try to be tolerant and not thump them.

When I last went to Tesco, I spotted a lady shopping in her housecoat, pinny and fluffy slippers....bless!

Poet, I had to laugh at you being asked to reach things from the top shelf! I have the opposite problem - a whole foot shorter than you! I can never reach things of the top shelves and have been known to dump a trolley full of shopping and walk out in sheer frustration because I couldn't reach something  (don't do that often I hasten to add!) Amazing how many people happily watch you jumping up and down trying to grab something :roll:

Trick is to stand on the bottom shelf snowy

I saw staff doing it once and thought now why didn't I think of that  Now I never have problems reaching the top shelf

Yes I have been known to do that Louise! Works well if you do it in front of shop staff!

I totally agree, us Hubbys should not be allowed into Supermarkets with our wives at any time of year :D

If I have to buy food I prefer to go for it on my tod, that way I only come back with what I went for. Given a choice I don't go at all.

The three for two for one offers bemuse me. Just make them cheaper you supermarket twonks! Why should you be penalised for not needing three tubs of oven cleaner at once.

I admit Cathy does most of the shopping and we hardly ever go shopping together.

I have been known to dither in the liquor aisle, 'Will 48 cans be enough?, Can I carry any more?'

:lol: That sounds like a 'Dan-ism' to me!

I always stand on the bottom shelf too; at 5'1" there are lots of things I can't reach! I stand on the bottom stair to kiss Phil too, otherwise, I get crick in my neck - all lanky 6' of him!
