I got lots of lovely smelly candles and usual stuff. My best present was from DH it is a 'promise' of a present I showed him pics of Jay and Snowy's

chicken runs and he has promised he will build me a large run 10'x4' all

planted with shrubs He is going to customise it to look like an Edwardian train station platform with all the lovely fretwork and he is going to make me

a lookalikey BR station sign which will say 'Hendon Central' I am very

happy with my promised present. He also gave me a subscription to Poultry Keepers Monthly I think he is beginning to get the message

Hubby usually gets me something nice. However this year he bought me a fleece which was too small. I know I have put 1/2 a stone on recently but you dont want to be reminded of that

Then he said he would give me the recipt so I could take it back.....OK???

Then he said he had found a larger shop assistant who he made try it on for him, who was most unimpressed as you can imagine.

Im surprised she didnt thump him. At this point I wanted to.

I tryed my best not to be disappointed but failed.

The best bit is I now feel cross with myself I didnt try harder to look chuffed with it and I feel really ungratefull. How did that happen!!

Hmm, I know how you feel. My OH gave me a Healthclub day pass for me and a friend saying I deserve some time to relax. The thing is, the day is for use of the gym, the pool, the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Is he trying to remind me I've put on too much weight???

 

Now, if I wanted to squeeze into my cossie or gym clothes (ha ha not a chance!), I would have done so wouldn't I. If it had been an aromatherapy massage I would have been thrilled to bits. So, feeling a bit hacked off that he didn't think the gift through and guilty because he did try and I should feel more grateful.

I got a laser printer (which I asked for ) and some perfume and bedding. I'm quite happy.

the chickens had a lettuce over Christmas but I can't find any trace of it, not even the stalk which they normally leave

The thing he 'doesn't' know yet is that I am intending to get more chickens, hopefully ex-batts, so will probably need another Eglu but one step at a time :wink
