redfrock
'the time travellers wife' made me laugh out loud and cry like a baby. I didn't want the book to ever end. I couldn't get on with 'The Girls' which was a real shame as I was really looking forward to it. I didn't realise 'the Memory Keeper's daughter' was on their list. I finished it about 2 weeks ago and found it a really engaging read. I've had 'this book will save your life' on my shelf for a few months, ready to pick up. I love their book club - there really is something for everybody. I have always been an avid reader, but often turn to their lists for inspiration. It was through them that I found 'the lovely bones' and 'notes on a scandal' - both excellent. It has always been a running joke with the removal men whenever I have moved (which has been quite often) about the number of boxes of books I have! Basset
OOOH, Thanks for letting me know their new book choices are out. I've really enjoyed reading many of their suggestions. It's such a good way to read books I would never have chosen myself. I just need to find some time now to squeeze in some reading.
Goosey Lucy
I've just finished 'The Memory Keeper's daughter' and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of R&J but am tempted to buy the books on this year's list as a late Christmas treat.
jomaxsmith
I've read several of them (without realising until you said that they were R&J recommendations - not that that would put me off!) and enjoyed them immensely. Can I recommend that you use www.greenmetropolis.co.uk which is a site for buying and selling secondhand books (mainly recent paperback fiction) You receive £3 for each book you sell and buy for £3.75. It's a good way of making some money back on books! I'm off there now to find some of the books you mention that I haven't read! Jo

Cate in NZ
Jo, thanks for that link. I have a lot of books that I want to get rid of ............well, I don't really want to get rid of them, but I've got to declutter, so I've decided that they really must go. I'll check it out with a view to selling some of my books on . Sarah, I watched R&J this week when they were talking about the Khalid Hossein book and it really made me want to read it. Great to hear that you recommend it, I'll be looking out for that one
