MrsDaisy
we wanted two big girls but the breeder could only let us have one, as she wasn't planning on selling anymore at all it was really kind of her. we put Ambrose to bed with Ermie which was absolutely fine but we've had her escape hotly followed by E who is feather pecking. going for the separate the run in 2 trick with a box at each end
The Jazz Girls
We lost Ella I and replaced her with Ella II and Billie. It was definitely the right thing to do, and Adelaide was no trouble at all. We collected them from the Hen House (as mentioned before) and left them for a few hours (with food and water!) in a little temporary pen where Adelaide could walk round and see them easily. She eventually went to bed and then we put the two new girls through the eggport. We watched them closely the next day and (probably due to Adelaide's particularly 'relaxed' personality) we have had no problems. Two more is the answer! Happy New Year everyone!
