My eco solution to rat problems

We have the large eglu, a grandpa feeder (squirrel problem), and the standard water container that comes with the eglu. It has worked fine over the summer, but soon temperatures will go below 0, and I'm wondering what you all do to keep the water from freezing.

I have one of those cheap plastic red gravity drinkers, with a heater underneath it.

We empty them at night and refill them in the morning. If they freeze during the day we change them, so you will need a spare.

We bought a blue plastic, electric heater that goes under the water drinker - we put the Omlet drinkers in the shed.

This is a good idea if you work from home.
