chelsea
im going to get an exercise bike in the next 2 weeks, I plan to turn the spare room into my "exercise room", who knows how long the novelty will last but im definitely going to try! I do have my own bike but the handle bars keep coming off in my hands - last time this happened with hubby and dog on a 15 mile cycle trip and hubby couldnt stop laughing - I looked like a clown. Blackrocksrock
I have just cycled 1.5 miles on the exercise bike - not far but a lot for me - first day and starting to build up to more every day - sore bum though The seats are awful and its a decent make too. Lesley
My favourite piece of kit is the 'air walker' - it is extremely low impact and I bought it off the shopping channel when my leg was still in full length plaster - it relieved the pains in my hips through inactivity. It folds up against a wall if you need the space. See it here
Blackrocksrock
My daughter left me hers when she moved to Dublin 3 years ago - its a Tunturi f300 with an uncomfortable seat but the seat looks great - I just find them awful - it has distance, pulse, calories! time etc on it too which is good - just have to get myself geared up to do this - after all I gave up the smoking 3 years ago so I can do this too. I found the ones at the gym uncomfortable for a couple of weeks Susan - but then it wasn't so bad. The (female) instructor says "it doesn't bear thinking about"
Blackrocksrock
That makes me feel better - hope things get better as I carry on. Up 20 mins before usual to cycle- well in theory that is!
Basset
This post reminded me that I had a rebounder tucked away in the greenhouse!!! So, today I dragged it out and had a go for a few minutes. My diet officially starts tomorrow, so it may get more use over the coming months.

I'm joining Slimming World tomorrow morning, so that will be the end of Xmas feasting! im doing weight watchers online, I was debating about going to a class but I think the online thing will suit me better due to time and also hubby works nights so I dont want to be going out and coming home to an empty house. Good luck!!
