That's exactly what we did. Spoke to a lovely lady (Jan I think?) who told me what they'd got in stock. Unfortunately, they didn't have a purple one which was my first choice so we ended up with a green one.

 

When it arrived there was no way you could tell it was re-conditioned - it looked as good as new

I got a reconditioned eglu too - mine looked (almost) brand new and the bars/shade etc were new. The money saved went on odds and ends from the Omlet shop at the same time thus saving postage!

My purple eglu was ex-display. I gave them a call and the lady went down to the stores and returned with a list of what they had available. I managed to negotiate free postage and packing as well as the reduction as I had only recently bought a cube. You couldn't tell that it had been played with.

 

I also bought some extras from the shop to avoid postage costs including an extra run for my cube.

Not much of a saving but considering that mine was basically new, it was a good deal. I seem to remember £50 being knocked off but I could be mistaken.

Ours was £355 instead of £395. Not an enormous saving but it was impossible to tell that it wasn't new
