Lesley
Have to say though - I think I would be nearer a Kenyan than that vegetarian bloke with the small wheel barrow... - nice to know you're eating enough fibre then Dan
chickencam
Hopefully it made my hubby think, he has 'cuddly' tummy that is getting bigger all the time and he's a smoker I don't want to lose him He is quite muscular in other areas and reasonably fit but he must fall into the obese category. I was shocked at who fell into that range and worse and what about the skinny ones with loads of fat in their bodies I went for a well person check at the doctors recently and they said by BMI was fine but the fact that my waist is larger than it should be is a worry which makes you wonder what point there is to BMI. Tiggy
we have to do BMI to tick the box & keep DOH happy, but hip/waist ratio is much better to predict your risk of diabetes, heart probs etc, I some times see some very fit lads who do lots of sports & their BMI is high its rediculous because most of their weight is muscle (there are some perks to this job)

So it's very important to take waist measurements as well The things I have to do in the name of work
