chickencam
Off out to plant them after lunch, spent too much time at the allotment yesterday and was too tired
Strepsy
I'm doing the radish trial too. I got Cherry Belle and Mirabeau. I've got some Cherry Belle already growing on my kitchen windowsill, they've come on really well although a touch leggy. Will leave it 'til nearer the end of March to plant outside here in Cheshire I think.

chickencam
How are anyone elses radishes going? Mine are growing well still only seed leaves but looking ok considering the weather, they looked a bit yellow when they came through because they were too wet I think. I have the early Rudi variety in planted on 2/3/

chickencam
I registered on the RHS forum yesterday and it seems that most people have either only just sown them or are waiting for better weather still, so don't worry
fluffymuppet
I've sown some of them, but am waiting for them to come up. Given the weather of late, they may decide not to!
fluffymuppet
The first ones are germinating! It's the Mirabeau, still waiting for signs from the other variety.
Snowy
Phew, got them in just in time! Did it on Saturday. Just gone out to survey the estate (pootle round the garden) and the bloomin cat from next door has left his footprints across my radish patch
Guest
Mine all say they are ready in about 4 weeks so I haven't planted them yet because the only person eating in our house is James, who of course doesn't like Radishes! I should be back on food in a couple of months though so I'll probably put them in a few weeks from now. Anyone know if Radishes are low or high GI?? chickencam
How is everyone doing with their radishes? I am thinking about sowing some more today, mine need thinning again, one day I will sow the right amount of seed.
Snowy
My first lot are growing nicely, only got the first pair of leaves on at the moment though. I planted some more yesterday!
Strepsy
Here's our first that we harvested the other day (hubby said it was yummy), just from a few I've been growing inside. I don't think the container's really big enough though, as they just seem to be maturing one at a time. lol. I'm yet to plant any outside because whenever I start digging over my new veggie patch, the chooks come to help me and I just end up watching them instead. chickencam
Mine are about ready to eat, maybe by the weekend. I have finally sown some more of both Rudi and Flamboyant Sabina. Rudi have grown quicker than some other radishes that OH planted about a week earlier
