The Dogmother
I'm 199. Who started this off anyway? And you dont look a day over 47....., A great big to you too Melanie Marvin! Joking aside, Phil's 47th is in a week's time, and I was kidding him that he wouldn't get much for the next couple of birthdays as I was saving up to get him a caravan and Saga membership for his 50th! Mel (& Paul)
I like to point out to Paul that he is actually old enough to be Charlotte Churches dad
The Dogmother
I bet that goes down well Mel! phil was looking at the photo in the paper today of 62 year old Mick Jagger getting off with some 18 year old nymphet; he said that there was hope for him yet then - I said that the only thing he'd be geting for his birthday at this rate would be a slap round the face with a wet fish!!! Mel (& Paul)
I dont like 18 year olds. I think they should be banned. Or only allowed out wearing a duvet and a sack over their heads
The Dogmother
Exactly! All that pertness i mustsay that I look at them parading around, not a stretch mark in sight, and think 'that'll all be heading south after a couple of babies!'
Popcorn
and back on topic....... ........I'm 405 - (but don't look a day over 33.) Darren mentioned owning chickens when we bought our new house last year, as we had never had the garden space in our last house. We did a bit of research and luckily just happened across the Omlet site, otherwise we'd never have gone for it with the foxes we get around here. One of our better decisions I must say. Thanks for being such a lovely bunch of omleteers all xxx
Sheilaz
Great to know you too, Gina! I think I'm 252, but must admit, that in between checking, and then posting, I may have forgotten. I thought I joined before Clare T. (199) so now I feel really muddled. No change there then.
The Dogmother
I'll have to go and check again then Sheila - are we looking at the number we are on the member list? Just back having checked the list, the numbers at the far left of the table (is this what we are supposed to be looking at?) just run sequentially however you sort the table, so if I sort by user name, then I am 199, but if I sort by joined date, then I am 516. I think that I need to go back in this thread and read the instructions - were we supposed to be sorting by joined date? DOH!
Sheilaz
I've no idea! PS. Why are we checking?

Cookie
I'm member number 871. I grew up in the countryside (rural Oxfordshire) but now love living in London and definitely don't want to live the rural life again...but also REALLY wanted chickens, as my parents and grandparents used to keep them when I was little! (Contrary? Me? ) It was only when I saw the eglu in various adverts that I realised it would be possible to live in a Victorian terraced house in London AND keep hens . I'd been saving up for what seemed like ages, but household emergencies kept wiping out my eglu find (new tyres on the car, fridge breaking down etc. etc. ) Then my lovely boyfriend bought me one for Christmas - I think my best Christmas present ever! Plus, we'd been doing the whole ethically sourced food, green living thing to some extent for years, so wasn't totally out of character. One of the best things about this forum is finding so many like minded people on such a wide variety of topics (am thinking of pants...chocolate...wine.... ) Love, Cookie. xx
Mel (& Paul)
you are SO right there ('specially chocolate, wine, pants, bottoms and biscuits - not necessarily in that order)

Cookie
Wa-hay!! I'm out of here I only work Mon/Tue/Wed so am always in a good mood on a Wednesday afternoon anyway. Tomorrow's projects at home are to buy O a new swimming costume, bake a monster chocolate cake and let the hens out for a jolly good pootle round the garden. How much better than work is that??! Popcorn
Thursday is my day off too Cookie, and I am SO looking forward to leaving work at work for the day. I'm doing pretty much the same as you, and we have a new shed being delivered - our first, and I'm very excited about it. I'll probably spend most of the day sitting in it
