rachel19
I've been contemplating going completely organic for a while now (big decision as a student with limited budget) and have been buying organic meat from sainsburys for some time and also using ecover products. My mum used to use Abel & Cole and was really happy with their service and I was thinking of doing the same thing. There was a company in brighton doing a similar thing but i think they've gone bust as i cant get hold of them. The thing is Abel & Cole only deliver to brighton on a friday and cant say when on a friday it will be. Our student house is in the middle of a terrace with no place to safely leave stuff if i'm at lectures. I really want to do this but I also dont want my food to get stolen - I could request they leave it under a recycling box in the front garden but im not sure..........what should I do? Tiggy
could a neighbour accept the delivery for you?
The Dogmother
I don't have veg deliveries for the same reason Rachel - I buy all mine from the local farmers' market instead - local means more to me than organic.
Ziggy
I keep a big plastic lidded box in my front garden, and both the postman and riverford delivery people leave stuff in it... It is not fully safe obviously, as there could be passers by seeing that something is being put in there, or even people walking in to check the box to see if there's anything to steal there, but generally speaking it works fine, cause no one can see from the street whether there is something in there or not, it just looks like a plain garden storage box, rather than parcels or veg boxes left by the door... rachel19
Our neighbours both sides are students and therefore likely to be at lectures. I might give it a go over the easter holidays while im here and try getting them to leave stuff under a recycling box if no-one else is in. Worth a try i guess
Guest
would/could they deliver to the college/uni building and leave it with reception for you to collect or is that a logistics nightmare?
