Treekeeper
Went out this morning to check on the chooks and make sure the run roof was still on! It was, but there was devastation on the patio a solid teak bench had been blown off the higher patio onto the lower and smashed in bits wood everywhere. The poor old chooks are stood round looking a bit windswept and shellshocked and only one egg so far.
superjules
Blimey stevef, that's bad luck, but you are fortunate no-one was hurt I guess.
Egluntyne
Oh heck! Thank goodness you weren't standing under it!
Carol U
More to the point Egluntine, thank goodness the chickens weren't standing under it! (Only joking Steve). Glad you're OK
Eyren
Nasty - what a relief no-one was hurt! My three older girls are most put out by the wind, and refused to come out of the eglu this morning - then I served up some leftover rice (with bokashi bran mixed in) and they changed their minds! The pekins meanwhile are snug in the conservatory, much to the bemusement of the cats
