Wonder if you would vote in my poll. I am going to suggest BHWT recycling ink jet cartridges and mobile phones as a fundraiser and I would very much like to take the results of this poll to our next meeitn (end of March)

It costs us nothing and you nothing, so everyone is a winner!

So please vote and help us raise vital funds :D:D

We have a recycling scheme in place re ink cartridges at work.

I'm not sure that the phone scheme would be feasible as they are not company owned, and there would only be a couple a year anyway.

Ink cartridges at home though...another matter.

I am looking at 5 now that have no home to go to. Yet.

we use generic cartridges (aka compatible cartridges) for our Epson inkjet printer and so far I haven't found anyone who will recycle them. Most places seem to only recycle branded named cartridges.

If you can recycle generic ones then you can have all of ours but I'm not sure if they can be recycled. Let me know because if they can be, you can gladly have the lot.

I think what you're planning sounds good Buffie. But I have a slight problem with it as the printer we use you can't recycle the ink cartridges for, (looked into it before) and I'll use my mobile until it dies-so yes, that ploy would work, but not for a long while.

Are there any other things you could possibly recycle in order to raise funds for the BHWT?

This is the first steps into bringing about fund raising on a larger scale. If you notice any other schemes please pass on to me :D

Also Poet, thanks, but Epson cartridges cannot be recycled as they don't have the value (something to do with chips :? )

Also ideas can be passed on and if you want to do a sponsored walk etc. Just let us know.

I'd love to do an event to help.

I don't have inkjet cartridges either at home or at work - we are all laser.

Phones, well at work the kids are encouraged to give them to the school as they can raise money on them, personally I change phones every year for something bang up to date and I usually sell my old on Ebay for good money, Mums are never worth any money though so I do recycle them and would happily do it for BHWT.
