can you give ducks marmite on toast like you can with chickens every now and then?

and can you give them bread, is that actually good for them or do they just like it?

Don't know about marmite on toast...

 

I don't think bread is overly good for them - especially not in excess but ok as a treat. May have to be soaked first? Mine don't like it anyway... Weirdos!

We occasionally give a few s"Ooops, word censored!"s of bread - we throw it in their pond.

 

As for Marmite...........I suppose you'll just have to try them and see

Our ducks dont like bread either. I tried them , the chooks ate it instead

I would think Marmite contains a lot of salt so would give it very sparingly

Bread is not good for ducks because of the yeast in it, it encourages fungus to grow , so again should be given sparingly.

As soon as Baby hears one of us rustle a crisp bag, she is there begging.

So crisps are another thing to add to the salty snack list to be given sparingly.

you can give them marmite, like with chickens its good for them,in small doses though bercause of the salt. i think its normally used to help give a little boost to weak birds, for ducklings you're best of giving them mashed up hard boiled egg yoke.
