feemcg
I was sitting on one of the boardwalks at the beach in Barcelona with my bag at my side and turned round just a s a teenage boy grabbed the bag and tried to run away. A local business man, sitting near me with his suit, shirt and tie(and bare feet in the sand!), shouted and gave chase. The boy dropped the bag and the man gave him a clip round the ear. He came over with the bag and was very apologetic, saying the boy was a Moroccan gypsy and they gave Barcelona a bad name. Apart from that I loved Barcelona - loads to see and do - and my feet ached from all the walking. Have a lovely time

clucky1
Have a Great time. We visited Barcelona last year. It is a really 'lively' place . Cathedral looks amazing from the outside.
Guest
we went a few years ago, cheap easy jet flight and stayed on the ramblas. If you have time then you have to visit la sagrada familia, you can get a lift up one of the spires for an incredible view but not for the faint hearted! I had to come straight back down, too scary Next 'must do' for me is Guell Park, gorgeous little oasis with quirky Gaudi bits and pieces. I loved all the Gaudi buildings, another good one was La Pedrera. What else did we do wandered around Le Bari Gotic, nice shops and restaurants oh and we went to the Picasso Museum and had a lovely Basque lunch at 'Tximiri'. Oh and if you love food you have to go to the market, La Boqueria, a feast for the senses! here's a link to a diary I did of our trip, might give you some inspiration, enjoy, it's a great place but do watch your valuables!!! http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/barcelona.htm
hillfamily
My DS went on a tour of the Barcelona football stadium last year (with his school) .............. he really enjoyed it They were supposed to be having a water sports holiday but it kept raining so the teachers had to come with alternative ideas Barcelona is on my list of places to visit - want to go some of the museums and art galleries and especially see the work of the modernist designers
Mrs Frugal
I had a day in Barcelona with LSH last year and it's a beautiful city. We didn't get to see much as we were short on time but the Gaudi cathedral - Sagrada Familia - is amazing and the street markets are fun too. Have a wonderful time. I'd love to go back again some day and spend more time there so we can see the place properly.
