superjules
DD wants to have Yum-yum's first egg, which was laid today , boiled for her brekkie tomorrow. Would anyone happen to know how long to boil a 30g egg for so that it's still a bit runny in the middle? I obviously need to buy an eggxact scale! Thanks in advance. Eyren
Sorry, Jules, no idea - I always have mine scrambled or fried! However, Delia recommends 3 minutes for a standard egg, so I would try 2 mins for a pekin egg since they are about half the size. You can be our guinea pig
Tara123
Sorry never boiled mine. I always poach my bantam eggs, that way you can still have a yummy runny middle bit and still keep the same taste as a boiled egg

Perhaps it should be 2:15 minutes It'll take a bit of trial vand error I suspect.
BarbaraJ
I'm rubbish at boiling eggs but 3 mins from boiling or cold?
xScrunchee
I would get one of those egg timer things from the Omlet shop They are really brilliant and very accurate-never had much luck doing soft boiled eggs before but now they are perfect every time They can time any sized egg so providing you don't try to do large eggs and tiny eggs in the same pan at the same time, you should get perfect results
