BarbaraJ
I was so chuffed, i noticed Ebony bok bokking when i went to the run at lunchtime and came towards the door, the other 2 are not so forward. I couldn't let them out as had 8 kids in the garden but went out at 4 to let them out. She kept bok bokking and walking towards me so i got some raisins and she took them, the other 2 didnt want to know but i was so so happy, i know i'm daft but i havent had a pet in the house that showed me special interest , tropical fish just dont do it and the cats like you if you feed them or let them sleep on their beds , which kids do but i don't. Oh and she wouldnt take raisins from my daughter lol So i am a happy chook keeper today who needs eggs!
Ain't Nobody Here
Well done . Wait till they're all jumping on your knees with their pooey feet . It's lovely when they show you some "affection" .

chocchick
I could feed Katy for ages from my hand, but the others nearly rip my hand off and knock the food everywhere I persevered and got them to jump on my knee and peck up food, they were very very dubious and it took a few attempts, and Megan (bottom chicken) still won't do it unless the other two aren't jumping up. It was very rewarding to get their trust like that.

meezers
It's lovely isn't it ? Elsie, Bluebelle and Lottie fed from our hands almost straight away,Margo is still a little wary, yesterday, Pepper took some corn from my hand for the first time - though I think it was a mistake -I was keeping so still, she didn't realise it was my hand , I've now set myself the challenge of getting Hattie to take feed from us, but the first 3 barge in and she doesn't get a look in, and Bluebelle HURTS - she pecks so hard, greedy madam !
