cruisa
I was watching "great British Menu" this evening on BBC2. Glynn Purnell used an egg topper to neatly cut the top off his eggs & made a Crème Caramel in each egg shell. I was wondering if anyone had one of these Egg Toppers / Crackers? This one made a really neat cut. I've done a search on Google, & the nearest I can find to the one that Glynn used is the one in the link below:- http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/mocha/product/clack ~cruisa~
Sunshine
We do.My dad got it free from a show he was at a few years ago. It still works, when we have dropped the ball we still have to use a knife to take the top off but it definately makes it much easier. I don't think we would have paid £15 for it though. Lesley
Lakeland do one - but it doesn't make a nice clean cut edge like that one.

little chickadee
We have one like on the link - It's brilliant and feels really solid. It actually looks like a bizarre ornament. The kids love it. It's called an Egg Clack and you can get it from lots of places online. I got mine from a lovely local kitchen shop though
cruisa
That's the one my little chickadee They do seem a little expensive for taking the top off an egg, but I've ordered one anyway It will come in handy for the Crème Caramel in an egg shell though, as all the other egg-toppers I've seen leave a rough edge around the top of the egg. ~cruisa~
