meezers
Glad someone asked this- I forgot to ! when I went to ask at the local farm supplies I had to say ' horse bedding' as I had no idea how to pronounce it ! on the same theme, has anyone heard of 'flaxes' bedding ( think that's what they said), as that's what they stock, they said it was similar to hemcore. Guest
Well Hemocore is flax so I guess it's similar. Is Easi-bed the same kind of stuff as i've seen that too! Louise
AJuff
How often do you need to change aubiose in the run? Does it stop the smell?
Egluntyne
I change it fully about every six weeks and top it up in between times. It does stop the smell. It is super absorbent and the hens love rootling about in it.
Ain't Nobody Here
I change it fully about every six weeks and top it up in between times. Same here. I've never noticed even a slight whiff from their run (and I left it much longer than usual before cleaning out the run - did it today!) Eyren
Well Hemocore is flax so I guess it's similar. Hemcore is made from hemp (Cannabis sativa), hence the name. Flax (Linium perenne) is a completely different plant - it's the stuff used to make linen, and has lovely blue flowers (they grow it here in East Anglia, though possibly for seed rather than the fibres).
