craftyhunnypie
Cobars are supposed to be auto sexing, but I can't remember what I was told about the colours!!! She / he is on the left in the bottom photo, oh and in the first photo above too!! Not a feather in sight really yet..the start of a tiny one on the wing! craftyhunnypie
I had buff wyandottes that didn't hatch. When cracked open, the yolks hadn't been absorbed. Had great sucess with the others, my sister is pleased with her 2 also! Chicks are so naughty!!! Emma.x
feemcg
Mmm....with the pale blotchy pattern and lack of feathering I think the Cobar could be a boy . Lovely, healthy looking chicks though "If the barring factor is added, greater definition in chick marking is obtained, the males(doulble dose barring factor)being very pale and blurred and the females(single dose) have a sharper pattern"
fairy&cake
Does that count for all hens or just the hens Crafty has hatched?
craftyhunnypie
Well hubby says we are keeping them both anyway & hope the neighbours won't mind a cockerel or 2 . If they do, then he / they will have to go my sisters - or perhaps we could move house! Emma.x
