We 've had our fish tank for some time, and haven't had new plant or fish additions for months. So why is it then, that we have a new little snail crawling round the tank this morning?!

 

Where did it come from??! I don't understand! I thought they came in on plants?

Maybe it was very small and has grown over time!

Seriously, very strange - I wonder if the eggs can stay dormant for a while?

I don't know the answer - but I do know that used to happen to me when I had tropical fish - and I used to wonder the same thing

I presume the eggs can lie dormat until conditions are right.... before you know it there'll be hundreds - well, lots anyway
