Suzie
Wow what lucky chickens. Glad they're settling down well. I've had mine a week now and already their combs are getting small and redder and they look healthier. They must be so happy to have some space!! SLK69
bless their free cotton socks. They will be unrecognisable in a few weeks Mine are 5 weeks out their cages now and are so confident, they are completely diffrnet chooks. The way they follow you about and are interested in what your doing - It is like no other pet I have ever had. Gotta love those batty chooks Susie

dogs and chickens
Very well done you for saving the lucky chooks. My next door neighbour always gives us him empty egg boxes to reuse, and they are the boxes of battery hen eggs!!!! Today he was giving me a lecture on how to keep chickens and telling me our girls did not have enough space . I feel like going and showing him your photo, so he can see what he is responsible for !!! (By the way our 15 chooks have about 30 x 15 meters, personally I think this is loads of room!) I think you have done a brilliant job. Enjoy your fab new girls, and all those yummy eggs! Michelle x
Fleur
thats about 15 square metres per chicken isn't it!!?! much more than the A4 paper sized space some poor chookies have to live in. i'd say its an ample amount of room. they look like lovely chickens
