Are there any of you out there? I'm asking because I only ever get to 'listen again' while I do my ironing so if I don't do the ironing I sometimes miss a whole weeks worth of excitement and, as you can imagine, an awful lot can happen in a week in Ambridge. So it would be handy to have someone I can get all the juicy gossip from.

Well I'm a confirmed addict - but I tend to catch up with the Omnibus, so not the best source of gossip! I believe there are a few others out there who enjoy listening to this everyday tale of country folk ... Tessa, you're another 'believer' aren't you?

 

Love 'em, hate 'em - the Archers have always been part of my life, and I hope they always will be. I only have one friend who is an addict, and we have lengthy conversations aboutt hem to the bemusement of all our other friends.

I have listened on and off all my life.

 

I have missed about a week and a half at the moment. OH usually puts it on his internet radio when we go to bed but he hasn't done for a couple of weeks must ask him why

 

I met Eddie Grundy once, Iam not one for autograph hunting and celebrity, but this was Eddie Grundy, he was really friendly

I used to listen avidly when the Siobhan/Brian thing was going on, but haven't listened in ages.

My step dad used to listen to it all the time. Couldn't stand him or him me, the theme music just takes me back - gives me the shivers

Yep big Archers fan here. Although I have been a bit bored/irritated with some of the story lines lately Jennifer has always got right up my nose, and she doesn't get any better with age. Am quite enjoying the mixed marriage fiasco at the moment. Nigel and Linda Snell are my favourite

characters, and of course good old Eddie and his long suffering wife

I'm afraid I'm addicted but often forget to listen in time to the listen again thing unless there is an incredibly juicy story line going on. That reminds me - must catch up. The time it's on always clashes with bedtime/bathtime.

 

I moved to a village a couple of years ago and practically cried with excitement when I saw the sign for the village show just after we moved.

I have learnt to make jam and even won the housecraft cup last autumn (still in shock!!!) The first time I entered, one of my jams was the only one in the catagory, but I still only got 3rd place for it! With hindsight it was probably deserved though!

Oooh! Glad there are a few of us!! I do sometimes look at the synopsis, Witch Hazel, but sometimes there's a particular scene that I know I've missed. I'm furious that I missed the one where Taylor was cross-examined by the prosecution.

I hated the Taylor/Cathy storyline, it just seemed to drag on and on Just heard on the news that the actress that played Mrs. Antrobus on the Archers died today aged 93.

Mind you, poor old Marjorie Antrobus has been lingering in a nursing home for years.

 

I love Eddie, Clarrie and Matt the wicked property developer. I'm afraid if I lived in Ambridge I'd be sick of the sanctimonious Archers. There's an Archer in everything and most of them no better than they ought to be!

 

Ooh, not forgetting Lillian - now there's a woman after my own heart!

I'm an addict too. I listen in the evening, next day too if I can, and always the Omnibus. I even listen again if it's a particularly good story. As my friend says....... sadsadsadsadsad!

I'm trying to remember what happened when Nelson died in real life... Or am I misremembering and did he only die in Ambridge. Apologies to him if he's still alive.

I get to hear it rather spasmodically, in the car, if I've finished work by 2!! It's not too bad tho' but after a week of missed, I lose the plot(more than usual!!)

Never thought I'd reach the age where radio 4 and classic fm were on preset ... feel old!!
