daj198
Congratulations. How exciting! Ex-batts really do make great pets, it's so fun to see them get stronger and grow their feathers back. One of mine flew the other day! Post photos when you get them!
andrewandcarly
i will take my camera with me when i collect them. i originally asked for 4. i would love to take more but 4 is going to be plenty for the room i have. i will have to use a small wooden coop i built a while ago as a stop gap until the cube arrives. I wasnt expecting them until early July.
daj198
Have you had ex-batts before? Or are you an ex-batt virgin?

katieandnick
Just out of interest, how long are people waiting to get their ex-batts these days? We've been on the Essex list for over a month and haven't heard anything, and the new Eglu is all ready and waiting!
*mummy_hen*
We waited about a month for ours, but had been on the list for a week when they rang with the collection date. When we first rang, they told us 3 months though. Congratulations - had ours since Friday and am having so much fun with them already - they are all such funny little characters and watching them find their feet is lovely. daj198
I was on the waiting list for two months before some became available for me. Then I wasn't in a position to rehome them! Grrrr... Hopefully I'll get some more later this year.

*mummy_hen*
Baggins, can i just ask what area rescue you are down for, is it The West Midlands or a closer one to you?
Baggins
Hi mummyhen, I don't actually know which one I'm down for ... I live in Reading in Berkshire but have said that I am willing to travel to collect so who knows which part of the country they will come from?! I don't have a preference .... would so like some SOON though. Do you have any rescue information? I am conscious that I have sent numerous e-mails to the BHWT and don't want to be accused of nagging despite the desperation. Congratulations, andrewandcarly - look forward to hearing all about your new girls. x
*mummy_hen*
It wouldn't be your closest but the West Midlands rescue which we did is near Coventry - just did a routeplanner for you and it says 1hr50 mins - i don't know how far you are willing to travel but we did 1hr 35 mins to there and to be it didn't seem too far. Anyway, the point i am trying to make is, i'm pretty sure they have a rescue in June, if you give either Mollie or Ian a ring on 07806924969 they could confirm for you. Don't know if this has helped you at all, but just seems a long time to wait to me, the fact you said you don't mind where you collect from, you don't think you may have got missed off the lists do you? You want your ex-batts asap as they are fab!
Lovemychooks
Just out of interest, how long are people waiting to get their ex-batts these days? We've been on the Essex list for over a month and haven't heard anything, and the new Eglu is all ready and waiting! I've been waiting a couple of months now, was told that I would be on the list for the Surrey one in May but nothing yet and I know that other people in Surrey have already picked them up. Not sure when i'll be getting mine........the wait continues
