missuscluck Posted June 3, 2008 Share Posted June 3, 2008 For those of you who have been following my efforts, we have lost a chick today. We had 20 ross chicks for our first experiment into rearing meat birds and one of the little loves passed away this morning. I checked up on them about 10pm last night and noticed one was a little quieter than usual. I picked her up and checked her over and all seemed to be ok but she didnt make a fuss about being picked up. I placed her back in and found her this morning in the corner passed away. Im hoping we havent hit a tricky stage. We are now nearly 3 weeks old. We were told we would more than likley lose some along the way. Its really sad.
