As part of Healthy Eating week - or something like that......

 

Lauren and Jake have to dress up as a fruit or vegetable - next Wednesday.

 

My daughter is very loathe to but new clothes for them when they are growing so fast so any cheap and easy ideas would be welcomed!

 

They both want to be carrots so that they can spray their hair green - but we don't want to have to buy orange trousers........

Do they have beige orr cream clothes? They could go as parsnips, then they could still spray their hair green!

Or green clothes - then they could go as runner beans and still spray their hair green!

What about going as a bunch of grapes grapes!

 

They could dress in either green or purple and fasten balloons to their costume, and if they want to they could still have green hair

thats an excellent idea Karen and the balloons would look great,..simple but effective!

You could dress her in red,spray her hair green & make her a stalk headband & she could be a strawberry

 

 

Or dress her in brown,smear mud on her face, & she can be a potato

How about runner beans? just dress them all in green or if they are set on being carrots could you get orange tights/leggings and T-shirts or pillowcases? you could cut the pillowcases to make a tunic and if they had tights/leggings on that would give them a long tapered carrot look. Or try charity shops for fabric or suitable clothes, that way you won't have to spend a fortune.

 

Good luck whatever you decide and make sure you post some pictures for us all to see

Thanks for the ideas - my daughter was thinking of balloons as grapes - but would they still be able to sit down?.......... and the walk to school could be fun

Just make sure you tie some string to them so they don't blow away!
