chocchick Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) We've just had our hall and landing painted a neutral cream sort of colour. Does anyone know where to get nice hall furniture from? We're looking for light wood storage to go on the wall that slopes up with the stairs. We also don't want to pay £100s unless we fall in love with something more expensive (under or around £100)? We'd like drawers/cupboards to hide things away. I'm not inspired yet after looking at a few websites, any ideas? We have a beautiful dining table and 10 chairs that we bought very resonably from a couple that very sadly were getting divorced. I have a fantastic hand made shaker style consul table with 6 drawers in my hall under my stairs. It's McIntosh furniture and I paid less than £100 for it - the beautiful wood has a lovely patina and is a near perfect match for the wood of the stairs and surrounding the internal window there. chocchick Posted August 14, 2008 Author Share Posted August 14, 2008 Well.....2 months later We asked for a quote for custom furniture and after a few phonecalls and messages they never rang back. After OH saying he doesn't like how short hall tables are we have ordered a console table about 70-80cm high from York for delivery (1-2 hours away) We saw a lovely sideboard in the window at the weekend and have ordered both (sideboard for dining room) OH says the dining room looks untidy, I've not pushed the fact that tidying would help as it is beautiful piece of modern oak furniture and I don't mind the console table.
