I was thinking of buying a patio table, but talked myself out of it as I'd never get to use it - the chooks are always free ranging at lunchtime and I end up eating inside .

mine have realised we have a picnic table now.. they didn't venture that way in the garden, and it's really funny when they found it and venbtured down to that area, they made such funny happy noises..

 

Even happier when they found me the next day eating my lunch I might add!

it was really funny actually, they were free ranging round the garden and didn't even see me on the bench at first. I thought I'd got away with it and was happily tucking in but then...one saw me and legged it and you know how the rest charge after!

 

One minute I'm happily eating in peace, the next I'm covered in chickens! Wouldn't have it any other way though, would you?

We found that out too, we were eating pizza up the table outside, when Matilda launched herself on the table. So we made a quick gettaway inside the house and haven't risked it since. From now on they in their run til we finished!!
