How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

It actually does seem to work! I have one remaining courgette plant which I've now planted out and I encircled it with a layer of used coffee grounds. This morning, there was a slug motorway trail going round and round the plant - but it was completely intact! They obviously didn't like the coffee grounds.

Most coffee shops give away bags of used coffee grounds for free

Starbucks give out free bags of coffee grounds to gardeners for this very purpose

 

Bet it makes the garden smell great too

I read somewhere recently, can't remember where now, that Diatom works well too.

 

Might work out a bit expensive though.

I think I'd rather take up drinking coffee than drive to Stratford and have to find any parking near Starbucks - it would be a lot quicker as well!

 

Next time I'm going past though...........

I always pick up a bag when going past Starbucks.... if I don't need for slug deterrence it goes straight into the compost

That's what I thought but the blighters crawled across a thick layer of crushed egg shell in my seed tray and ate every one of my cucumber seedlings Maybe a mix of coffee and egg might work

The key to success is wide strip of barrier thin and wide better than tall and narrow
