I was looking for a small cheap hutch/house for intro/broodies etc and I stumbled across this?

Prices start at £65 and they're made from plastic, not much room, but easy to care for than a wooden one,?

Not a bad idea if you cannot afford a rablu I wonder how strong the plastic is Also it is not insulated

I think plastic needs to be double skinned like the eglu, otherwise it's going to be freezing in winter and hot in summer.

 

I've been looking at these as broody coops for bantams, but probably wouldn't be tall enough for big chooks.

Ive seen rabbit hutches like this in all bright colours, eg. the doors and roof and floor are all different colours. I think they would look better in just 1 colour.

They look as if they have corners: corners are difficult to keep clean. The inside of the eglu doesn't have many places where one bit meets another bit at a right-angle.

The plastic looks a bit on the skimpy side from those pictures. I agree with supejules, I think there needs to be some kind of insulation or you might just end up with frozen rabbits.

I agree with you all, I posted that in a hurry, I aught to have added, that they're not nearly as nice as eglus obviously!

It looks like there's no real ventilation? Also, I think single-walled plastic would be cold in winter, hot in summer, and really prone to condensation even with some ventilation.

IMO you'd be much better with a wooden fold unit or ark...

I've a wooden hen house and it's great, and IMO the most important thing is a good design. A good wooden unit would be much easier to use than a badly designed plastic /resin/ etc unit.
