AJuff
Warmer weather makes me think of sun screen! Any natural alternatives out there that don't cost the earth?
Olly
I wish I could answer that, but I'm watching this with interest! I burn very easily and I never use less than Factor 25 ... would love to find something a bit more 'natural'. (I usually rely on long sleeves, scarves, hats etc!) Lapinou
We use JASON stuff on our children, and there's another one that I can't remember the name is. If you've got a local wholefoods store, you may be able to get some there.
Lesley
We use the Cactus Juice range...... http://www.cactusjuice.co.uk/acatalog/index.html
Spike-J
I burn easily too, but I love the "green people range. Have used the kids sunscreen factor 25 and the adult 22 and both equally good. And I've burnt so badly as a child my face became swollen! They don't leave your skin feeling greasy, and I haven't suffered bad "prickley heat" which I used to with conventional sunscreen. Shirl
We use the Green People stuff too. I wish I had shares in the company because I spend a fortune with them.
Yolky
I have to use natural stuff as chemical stuff brings me out in blisters, yuck. I use green people and that is good. I also find the Liz Earle range good too.
Cinnamon
I've burnt so badly as a child my face became swollen! Spike-j That happened to me in Kos last year - I stoopidly forgot to put any sunscreen on my face THEN I got a mozzie bit right between my eyebrows,so my forehead swelled & I looked like Manimal. I have some photos, but they are not for public comsumption
Guest
Eating tomatoes daily is supposed to give your skin some protection too.
flapjack
I am allergic to the lot of them so it's long sleeves, hats and staying in the shade for the hottest part of the day. Sometimes it is unavoidable and i get burnt Would love to hear of a natural way to protect my skin without using a cream formula concocted by someone else...i make my own moisturiser anyway, wonder if there's something I could add to it. Do you think I could add some titanium dioxide? Only it's toxic if inhaled. Hmmm. I know that some of the big companies are developing creams with nanoparticles of glass that stop the UV getting through but they will no doubt be suspended in a petrochemical soup
