Babs&Ginger
Well, Babs & Ginger arrived on Monday!!! They're settling in OK....seemed to be getting on famously until Wednesday when the pecking order started to kick off!! Babs (Miss Pepperpot) has decided that she's in charge...started picking on poor old Ginger (Gingernut Ranger) quite savagely....pulled a few feathers out of Ginger & proceeded to eat them!!! Wierd. It's settling down now & when we give them some mealworms to scratch around for, poor old Ginger waits for Babs to tuck in first. They're quite comical really! They LOVE corn & I mean LOVE!!! They go mad for it!! Even getting used to me shaking the tin that it's kept in!!! Not keen on grapes yet, they looked at them as if to say "What is this!? It's not corn!! Not eating it!" Ginger is more interested in trying to take my hand off at the elbow when I take the glug & grub's out to change/refill!!! Little "Ooops, word censored!"!! Going to try & let them out on Sunday....my dog's just about coming round to them...they ran into the Eglu the 1st time he came out to see them & they spent the rest of the day in there!!! But now they stand their ground...Ginger couldn't give 2 clucks about him now, but Babs is still a bit wary. Noticed tonight that one of them is doing orangey/frothy poo's...looks like sick...not very pleasant, speshly when Ginger walked through it!! Gamebird
Welcome to Babs and Ginger. Don't worry about the orange, frothy poos. Par for the course for settling in and digesting vegetable matter.
