Topdollar
Hi all I got my first chickens today and i've had a ball just watching them settle in. All 4 chickens where from separate runs in the farm where we picked them up from so the pecking order was totally up for grabs. It was a short journey from crofters farm near high wickombe and an easy transition from carrier to cube run. The girls spent the first few hours just readjusting and settling in and once they had they started sorting out who was boss. There was a bit of a battle for top spot but it looks like josie finally triumphed to henrietta who is now happy to be her 2ic. Wills and Rose who are 4 weeks younger ended up at the bottom of the ladder but watching them all settle in kept me fascinated all day. It took a bit of persuading to get the girls into the cube but once in they snuggled up for the night and i can't wait for tomorrow to let them out into their run again. Why didn't i do this sooner - i ask myself. I'll take some pics tomorrow and bore you all with them.
