Storing chicken pellets in a plastic tub?

I was asked on another thread to post a picture of my new Cube ramp, so here it is:

 

Flyte So Fancy http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/ made one of these for each of my Cubes to my specifications. I wanted it one metre in length so it reached from the door to the ground, and 30 cm wide so there were no gaps at the sides.

 

The total charge for two ramps was £45 including carriage.

I did not have to stain the wood in the end: I checked and it is pre-treated.

 

There are only three hens in that picture:

(1) Buff Cochin who, as you can see, has virtually no legs and has difficulty with the ladder;

(2) Cobar

(3) Silver-laced Wyandotte.

There is an optical illusion with the sun on the soil that makes it look as though there is another very untidy hen at the back (or perhaps its my funny eyes).

I wish everyone would stop posting photos of gorgeous unusual looking chickens! Makes me very 'broody' for a big mixed flock and we don't have a) the money and b) the space!

Your ladder is ideal for cochins it's similar to how OH made mine, as a couple of the girls really struggled to get up to the cube, and always made a very unlady like landing when they came down

I thought there was an untidy hen in the background too!

 

And they say the camera never lies!

 

The ramp looks great. I shall bear it in mind, should I ever need one.
