Hi there - just got home and had a call from Omlet, who say they will delivery my girls and their new home on August 2nd!!! Changed the order to a lilac guest colour Eglu, as she offered it to me on the phone!! Let's hope the weather gets a bit better now!!

I am desperatly hoping I might get mine easrly as in Thuirs, they warned me this might happen so fingers crossed. as it may take me a while to put it together and i am collecting my birds on Sat morning. Are you getting omlet nirds the?

I have ordered three chickens (2 Miss Pepperpots and 1 Gingernut ranger) from Eglu. Not sure on names yet as I want my kids to name them and I dont think they grasp that we are actually getting chickens yet

I can't believe you could get chooks, we were out of range so are just getting the cube, you will be having an eglu van then, we get the lovely neightfreight. Never mind at least it meens I got to spend the last few weeks visiting chickens farms which was actually great fun and got the girls into the idea, they now tell everyone.

And I think I sold eggs top the lady whose car i hot the other day

I'm at Woodall and yoy at Kiveton, we're neighbours I work in Sheffield too, at Upperthorpe.

 

I can't believe that Woodall and Kiveton are within delivery range by eglu but Hillsborough is out of range Whys that then???

 

We will have to open another Sheffield/Rotherham thread and share chicken tales. We will have to start a holiday sitting service for each other

It really is a shame as if I was in delivery range I would get a lovely man to set the thing up for me, as it is i have to try and work out how to do it on my little lonesome.

We should all have a get together with there being so many of us 'locals' by the way the eglus a real breaze to put together, I had a little trouble at first with the run.. but it all went together in the end, I think 'my little helper' was more of a hiderance for a short while

When did you order Oatley? I think the people in this thread ordered 2 or 3 weeks ago now (infact I think soobie ordered even longer ago as I am sure she was due to be delivered on 11th of July like me but she had to delay it). It will be worth the wait though

I ordered about July 14th so that lay play into it - but it is over 7 weeks to wait. I factored that into my decision making - you know - wooden coop NOW or cube in two months, and the cube has won - so a little patience and I know it will be worth waiting for.

Having read this thread - I thought that I would call omlet and see if they had an earlier date - and they did!! 7th August!!! Brilliant - we are all very excited now as we need the space once my chicks hatch on 3rd August.

gah - can I just add ANOTHER moan about the courier service! (apologies, a slight variation on topic but I have to get it off my chest).

 

I have been away for a week with work. I rang Omlet last week, to see if I could get the extra arch and plastic roosting bars delivered before I went away. That wasn't possible, but they helpfully said they could deliver them any day I wanted this week. I asked for Friday (25th) as I knew I wouldn't be back till then.

 

I got back tonight to find Omlet packages in the hall! Believe me, I'm delighted to have these items, but they weren't supposed to be here till tomorrow. It's just lucky that my cat/chicken-feeding friend spotted them in the drive and brought them in. What was the point in me specifying a day, if they then send them early!

 

Sorry - it's been a long week. I am thrilled to have them, really I am.

Hi, phoned up Omlet this morning, the earliest I could get a cube is mid-september. I didnt specify a colour, as Im undecided between purple/blue.

Also because I live in West Yorkshire I have a choice of courier or I would probably collect.

Is there a guest colour in a cube? and is it the same as the eglu colour, if

so does anyone have one or a piccy?
