Delivery times for the Eglu at present???

Recommended Posts

Hi -

My lovely Hubbie ordered me an Eglu yesterday, online, with a Gingernut Ranger and a Miss Pepperpot. :D We have so far, only recieved a standard email, outlining the order and when I called Eglu this morning, there is no answer - just straight to answer phone. :(

I know it takes a few weeks before delivery, however, what is the current lead time from online order to delivery? I am on Wiltshire/Oxfordshire border, so fall under Omlet's delivery area. I have ordered a green Eglu, if that makes a difference. Thanks!!

Hi and Congratulations!

Don't worry you will get a call back to arrange delivery, I just don't think they are open at weekends as a very small company.

I'm sorry I can't help with how long your wait might be but someone else may have an idea.. cubes are about 6 weeks but think eglu is sooner.

The office is closed at the weekend.

Delivery depends on a few factors, such as the colour you have chosen, whether you are having chickens, and how many others are being delivered in your area on a given date. Sometimes if they have a spare slot in the van, they can deliver to someone earlier than expected.

Friend of mine ordered last week, delivery on 4th August - but I think she's deliberately put it off because she's on holiday before then.

Interestingly, she gave them the name of the road, and they said 'ah, but what surname is it - we have THREE customers on that road'! And she thought she didn't know anyone else with chickens ....

It's frustrating Bychook, isn't it, when you want to start planning - but you should be able to find out on Monday. As Egluntine says, though, it may depend on where you live and whether there are other orders coming out to your area. Let us know when you hear!

Thanks for all of your replies - getting excited now and I am glad today is a bit dull, otherwise I would have wanted to be out there planning the site, etc!!!! It has hailed several times here this morning!

I have ordered Green - is that a popular colour, because if I could order a colour that is going to arrive sooner - I wouldn't mind. I really would like them ASAP - not just being greedy, but I want to share the summer with them and the children as much as possible!!!

Thanks again and I am sure you will be hearing a lot of questions from me once they arrive!!!

Bychook you wait you will spend hours getting your garden ready. So far we have been cutting back all of the hedges/trees round the sides and checking for holes in the fence and today we started clearing our shed ready for all the stuff to keep there, realised the shed was falling apart and so at the moment it is half apart in our garden and we will be getting a new shed  In our defence this shed has been botched together so many times and must be about 15years old.

Hi

I ordered my green eglu and 2 chicks about 2/3 weeks ago and delivery would have been about beginning of August. She said the colour did affect how quick your order was and green was very popular so had longer to wait. I'm up in Sheffield area and I did ask for mine to come near end of August because of my holiday too.

So excited but gives me longer for my husband to get over the shock of the cost of it  and to pick names for my girls :-)

Soooooo excited........ :D

I orderd ours on 17th june, orginally they said 24th july for delivery. I rang omlet and managed to get an earlier delivery slot of today :D I am sat at home now waiting for the eglu to arrive. I just hope the girls will be o.k with the change in accomadation.

We have a wooden ark and it's not lasted to well at all, practically faling apart round the poor chucks.

We are also in the sheffield area 8)

hello fellow sheffielders * wave* yes it's arrived and I have just spent two hours putting it together. I want the ladies to get used to it so they are locked in the run so they get used to the new home.

Fat black rocks allready nesting happily inside, but the little brown trouble causer is looking a bit mardy about not having full access to the garden.
