Guest
New Rule with Immediate Effect In order to assist other motorists in identifying potentially dangerous drivers, it is now compulsory for anyone with a lower than average driving ability to display a warning flag. The flag (consisting of a red cross on a white background) will be attached to the top of at least one door of their vehicle. For drivers of exceptionally low ability, additional flags are required. Wiggle
Here, here!!!!! Hubbie and I always make a joke of having an undeniable urge to take to the flag posts with a large pair of garden shears
236 OCU
Brilliant Phil Is the number of flags directly linked to their IQ
Chicken on a mission
We have one of those but not on the car. My daughter wanted one as a treat if she was good - better than chocolate - so she now has one. I couldn;t say where it is but she is a demon driver in her little tikes coupe! Cinnamon
That will be my neighbours then I do loath those flags on cars.I saw a little car last week literally swamped with them. Needless to say it was speeding
Martin B
Are you on about those stupid England flags?
Night Nurse
what makes me laugh is so many of these cars festooned with flags and other symbols of National Patriotism are made by Citroen, Peugeot, Volkswagen and so on...... Rule Britannia??
AnnieP
Good one Night Nurse! I was accused of being un-patriotic a few days ago.... I pointed out that I was wearing a Barbour coat, Hunter wellies and drove a Lotus Elise....
AnnieP
I think there is a definite correlation between the number of flags and lack of grey cells though..... Phil. you could be onto something there!
Night Nurse
I'm not naturally given to violence, but I have an almost irresistible urge to go and snap the flags off cars I see parked round here........
Martin B
I am not patriotic! I think it's stupid. It's not my fault I live in this country, I get moaned at at school because I'm not patriotic!
Night Nurse
Aww, Martin, just ignore them - the same used to happen to me at school, made worse by the fact I hated football as well!

Guest
Oh come on guys!!! Why are the English always like this? "It's not my fault I live in this country..... blah blah blah!". There are MUCH worse places to live!
Night Nurse
Agreed, but do I have to wave a flag, paint my face red, white and blue and sing Jerusalem? I'm quite happy to live here and have no complaints about the old place, but I just lack the patriotism gene .......
Guest
No, of course not..... but some people choose to do so. (I'm *not* one of them!). But this is a world championship we are talking about. If you like football, then now is the time to get behind your country's team. And if someone wants to show there support by putting a little flag on their car..... well.... they do it in other countries too!!
Martin B
I love football! However on an England Match I'd rather where my Villa shirt than my England one! Also I'd rather Villa won something than England win something!
AnnieP
Well guys, I am proud to be British and think we are on the whole a great nation of people. I buy British wherever I can, as mentioned above. I ADORE football and will be supporting England to the hilt. I just have a problem with the terrible taste of sticking a plastic flag on your Ford Escort! But then again, I guess I'm just a s"Ooops, word censored!"...... I don't do fluffy dice or Few Oranges dangling form my rear view mirror either... No gnomes in my garden either..... Guest
grd - it was a joke.... crack a smile... Phil Yes, I know that Phil. But you are quoting me somewhat out of context. My response was to the "I'm not patriotic / it's not my fault I live here..... " comments. Don't worry - I thought your joke was funny.
