Ain't Nobody Here
Well done you . Makes going home much sweeter if the weather's rubbish! My OH and YS went camping in the wilds of the west coast of Scotland at the w/e. They had lovely weather and we had torrential rain and mist . whittlewitch
I have been a camper for the last couple of years - much to the shock / amusement of my family and friends. Apparently I wasn't the camping type - although I do insist on decent sites. Apart from once it has rained on us on every occassion, we camped twice last year in torrential rain, but it was still good fun! We are off to Padstowe in July, it would be nice to have sun, but I have resigned myself to the fact that it will rain, anything better than this is a bonus. If you have never tried camping it really is good fun, especially with kids - however go for the electric hook up then you can take your hair drier! Rolo Rabbit
my sister and family went camping at Woodlands (nr Dartmouth) this weekend and she hated it, every time they go camping it rains! We're camping at Woodlands this weekend , Chelsea! I reaaally hope the weather is better than the last one or we could be coming home early. I don't mind a shower or two but it's just miserable when it doesn't stop. At least at Woodlands there's plenty to do indoors I suppose. I'm not massively looking forward to it. I think my sister resigned herself that she couldnt get any wetter so she went on all the "water" rides. Think they spent most of saturday night in the site laundry room. she said she felt skanky and smelly by the time they got home. Have a nice time. chickencam
Camping in the rain is horrible you feel like you may get foot rot because your feet are constantly damp and so are everyone elses so stinky shoes and feet in a tent are not so good. Camping in good weather is lovely though and so laid back, doesn't happen very often though. We are going to Dorset for a long weekend at the end of July so we are hoping that all this rain will have gone by then.
