How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Do you put them in the cube or the run? I think if I put them in the cube at least they will know it is there but if I put them in the run they won't have to tackle the ladder first, what do omlet do when they deluiver the chooks?

I'd put them in the cube for a short while so that they know where their bedroom is. It will also give them a chance to settle a bit after the upheaval of the journey.

 

They will be a bit timid about coming in and out and will need some help using the ladder at first.

Ours were straight in the run, and were fine. We had to help them in the first night, 2nd and 3rd night we put a torch in the cube and they went in at dusk, and 4th night the clever girls went in all by themselves. Our omlett man didnt say to put them in the cube. To be honest we didnt even think about it. I guess its just down to personal preference. Good luck.

Meant to say, put them in the run after they have had a quiet half hour or so in the cube, so that they can eat and drink and get to know each other.

If I get new ones, I put then straight into the cube and let them find their own way out. I've never had to help any to bed yet!

I put mine in the run and there was no problems using the ladder the first night, like Snowy, I've not had to help any with putting them to bed! I guess all chickens are different?!

Probably not helpful but I picked mine up in the evening so I could shut them straight in for the night.

Not quite the same, as don't have a cube, but I put new hens in the house for half an hour or so (with food and water available), and then let them into the run, so they find their own way out - sometimes with a bit of encouragement from me - the latest 2 I had to give a bit of a shove to, to get them into the run. Don't let them out to free range for 5-7 days, then they will know where 'home' is.
