Edith has been laying eggs for several weeks now, but suddenly she has become very broody. Even when I took the egg, she just stayed broody.

 

Is there anything I should do when she gets like this? Or do I just let her sit? I miss her when she's in there all day!!

I left mine to it - I didn't count but it must have been at least 9 weeks before I stepped in with ice blocks....

Edith is adorable - she is so funny trying to dustbath and scratch your rug!

 

Saxon made me laugh aswell as you were trying to get her attention and she wasnt having any of it and just carried on eating!

so glad you posted this. was about to post the same thing. have just been and removed charlotte from the nest box as she was nowhere to be seen! puffed up like a football so assuming she is broody.

OK.. .I think she is snapping out of it. I tried dumping her in water a couple of times without any difference. Finally decided to leave her to it but forced her out every now and then so I saw her eat & drink.

Today she is out & about again!
