eeyoreshunny
Does any one know of any good Toy chicken knitting patterns I have searched but only seem to be able to find books with all different animals in and don't really want to pay for a book that I won't use, So if anyone knows where i could get a pattern for a chicken I would really appreciate it Thanx Steph x

Nicola H
The pattern I used to knit this chicken Was from the Simply Knitting magazine and the designer is Alan Dart, his toys are lovely and the patterns are very easy to follow.
chickencam
Ask in your local charity shop, they often don't have knitting patterns out bu they keep them in the back for anyone who is interested.
Fizzle Knit
Steph - did you ever find a pattern? I've just been looking on the Ravelry site and only saw one I really liked the look of, and its $5.50 to download. Last year I knitted a couple of monkeys and a pig out of Kath Dalmeney's World Of Knitted Toys (I think that was what it was called) so I may return to the library to get the book again as I think it had chickens in there. My local libraries have quite a few knitting books - have you checked yours? I'm planning to knit 3 hens for Xmas for my boys, each in "their" chickens colours. I have knitted a little chicken from here http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/eggcozy.html and have just bought a lovely pattern off ebay for a larger chicken and also the world of knitted toys book as some of those look fantastic. I've looked in my local library but it's very small and has hardly any knitting books in, but toys are having to wait at the moment as i have two large baby blankets to make for friends first.
