I'm excited too...

Recommended Posts

Lots of excited posts on here at the moment :)

Tomorrow, my parents are coming over to look after our three daughters so DH and I can go out on our own for a couple of hours to buy new things for our new baby! I don't think we've ever done baby-stuff shopping on our own together and I just can't wait! We sold all our newborn clothes after having DD3 so need a load of nice white babygro's and vests and we need a new car seat too.

So was bump a surprise? :D

Nope, it was planned but not far in advance IYSWIM! I just get too broody and s"Ooops, word censored!" all my plans too easily  DH is desperately hoping I can find some way to curb my broodiness in a year's time

Congratulations! When is bump due, and do you know what flavour it is? I always think that children are natures best contraceptive, the more you have the less chance you get to make any more! I'd like a number 4 but I'm too old and tired now

What age are your three (I'm dead nosey, sorry  )

Enjoy the shopping though, even going to Sainsburys without three children in tow can be a treat, never mind with your OH AND doing exciting shopping.

Hi Mrs Bertie - children's ages are in my signature  - 5, 3.5 and 19m and the baby's due in just 6 weeks - eek!

We do our shopping online for the precise reason that it's so flipping difficult with lots of children in tow. Bizarrely, my DH enjoys taking them round the supermarket - strange man! I can't stand it and find it really stressful trying to make sure I buy all the right things *and* not lose any children

Lucky you. Have you started buying a baby stash of slings? Will you go for a stretchy wrap or do you have a favourite you'll use?

I already have far too many to justify another :( although I'd love to try a closer baby carrier! I will probably use my favourite ring sling mostly, or my lovely comfy hug-a-bub (prefer that to the kari-me). And I was bought a beautiful mei-tai for Christmas which I'll hopefully use on my back as soon as I can :) Bit of a sling addict, me

Me too I have about 30. I had a Moby D for when DD was tiny and I loved it. I still pop her in it for 5 minutes every now and then but at 26lb she's far too big for it really. I couldn't get on with RS and pouche when DD was little but use them nearly all the time now she's 16 months.

I find a new pet helps me every time!!! They are a lot less mess and cheaper to keep! Plus now we're puppy walkers for Guide Dogs (See the link below) We get a new 6 1/2 week old puppy every year! Unfortunately you can't do that at the moment though as your youngest needs to be 3 or above! Good luck keeping the Broodiness under control!

Sadly, apart from chickens and fish, I'm not really a pet person though! Could just keep getting more chickens each time though

That's how I ended up with my spaniel.. she's such a baby she washed any notion of anything else out of my mind, she's never grown up and is totally obsessed with being with me every minute I am in the house, even on the toilet! and in the bath if she can!... The girls a loon!
