westhamunited
One of our bantams is under weight and needs fattening up. Were trying to give her chick feed but she doesn't like it, do any of your chickens have favourite treats which we could try on her?
New Girl
GRAPES!!! Closely followed by cooked (corn) pasta then normal pasta & corn. They eat carrots and greens but aren't that bothered about them.

lindi
Mine also go for cooked pasta and cooked sweetcorn - both can cause a small riot. I didn't know hens could look indignant until I went down and they thought they were getting corn and got cabbage! They kept loking up hoping for something better to come along. Actually my cat doesnt like salmon, organic or otherwise - but the chooks do!)

Clur
Mine go mental for strawberries, weetabix, lettuce and tuna fish. Strangely though, they're not that fussed on corn!
chicken crazy
I've been reading this thread laughing at the things the chickens will eat. I'm hoping the chickens will help me with any waste I have, as I live on my own I dont always eat a full tin of tuna, sweetcorn or salad/veg no matter how much meal planning I do. And I just hate throwing food away.
