chicken crazy
My chickens arrive on the 22nd Aug, and my family and friends can't believe im getting them. (They must think i'm crazy!) So to show them how great the chickens are going to be I'm holding a welcome chicken's party for a few people to pop round and take a peep. Does anyone have any ideas for my chicken themed party? Snowy
Although you won't have your own eggs, make sure everything egg based is made with free range eggs and labour the point to your guests! Email BHWT for some info on battery hens - you can highlight what a difference the lives of your own hens will be. Didn't X-ray lady in the US have a welcome chickens party? will see if I can find the link.
Clur
I remember a very drunken night at a chicken and egg themed party (peversely years before even thinking about getting chooks). Everyone came in fancy dress, and the evening culminated with a race around the block between a six-foot chicken, and a mad bloke dressed as a fried egg to see which came first...... Im hoping to get lots of tips from him but sadly he has been ill for the last few weeks My cousins are very excited about a chicken party and cant wait to get back to school to tell all there friends! So I want to make it exciting as possible for them. (hehe they are going to want some and then I'll be in trouble )

chicken crazy
errr what is duck duck goose?
Scramble
Oh- Party game when I was little... Everyone sits in a circle and one person is the goose who stands outside the circle. The goose goes around the circle patting everyone on the head and saying ' duck' they go around the circle for as long as they want until they decide to pat someone on the head and say ' goose' the person who was patted on the head and the person who was the head patter (sorry confusing to explain) race each other around the circle and they both want to sit in the empty space in the circle. Whichever one sits down first wins and the person left standing up then has to do the head patting. So basically you never know who the goose will be and if you beat them to their space then they become the goose and have to go around the circle. Quite a childish game though, it is fun!
