ChirpyChirpyCheepCheep
Morning all. . . Yesterday and today I have found in the poo tray two softies. Ronnie is laying o.k. so I believe Roxie and Peggy are laying the soft shelled eggs. Peggy had recently laid her first normal egg and a couple since. They forage all day whilst I’m at home and they have access to water with cider apple vinegar in their glug. They are on organic layer pellets. I throw poultry grit in their run too. Feeling that I have let my girls down now. What am I doing wrong? Please can anyone help?
mrsallen08
Hiya Could it be Roxy coming in to lay? She may just not have the hang of it yet. It sounds as though they are having enough grit etc but may be cut down on any treats if they are free ranging all day too??? I would only really worry if Ronnie and Peggy's eggs were becoming soft too. I am fairly new to this but thats what I would imagine! Love the 'enders related names! ChirpyChirpyCheepCheep
Thanks for that MrsAllen08 I think you may be right. Roxie doesn't really behave like she is ready, so it could be her. Would I be getting two softies each day though?
