Lisa Posted August 29, 2008 Share Posted August 29, 2008 My chickens only arrived last night. I have been in and out all day to visit them and check they are OK. I went out at about 3.55pm to find Geraldine in the nest and the other two hovering outside . Low and behold at 4pm she got up and there was the first egg she had laid at our house! I thought she would be the one that was already laying. It is a lovely even brown coloured 54g egg not in Egluntine's league but our first! It is also reassuring that she is settled and happy enough to carry on laying. They said she may stop for a few days to get over the move! Have photos and will try this evening to get this sorted. Geraldine was named by my DS and he arrived home just as I was carrying the egg in doors! Just thought I'd share with you all!! What a clever girl!
