Help us build the perfect walk in run.

Yipee, We're getting a walk in run :D:D A few questions, firstly should a run have an integral floor or be built directly on slabs :?: If there is no floor how should it be anchored to the slabs :?: If it has a floor, does it not rot in the winter (cold wet windy Scottish winters) How do you keep the hemcore dry - again thinking about cold, wet winters where the ground is prone to flooding :?: What would be top of your "must have" list in relation to a run Only one chance to get it right & the joiner is coming tomorrow :D:D Thanks Allison & Co

Mine is on cobbles. (discovered when when we cleared the space for the run). I had intended to put it on slabs. No rot, easy to clean and no critters can tunnel in.

The weight of it should hold it down. You cold surround it with railway sleepers or similar to wedge it into place.

Tricky. Can you dig a couple of channels to divert the water away from the run?

What would be top of your "must have" list in relation to a run

A roof. :D

I hope it goes well. Show us some pics when it is completed won't you?
